Based on his mastery of the practice of trust and estate and tax law, Bernard became a leading figure in the area of philanthropy and charitable foundations. Through his gracious manner and deep expertise, he excelled in finding “win-win” solutions for clients confronting challenging legal issues. He was a trusted advisor to families, and a highly respected colleague to accounting, legal, philanthropic and tax professionals on a national level.
We will miss his leadership and friendship, and will seek to uphold the standards he set as our firm moves into its second quarter century this year.
