Eric specializes his practice in Trust and Estate litigation, counseling, and dispute resolution. His expertise lies in skillfully guiding clients through the complex landscape of these matters, which often involve challenging family dynamics and inter-family disputes.

Employing a multifaceted approach, Eric tailors strategies that align with each client’s unique needs and circumstances. As an experienced litigator, he regularly appears in the New Jersey Chancery Division Courts. He also pursues solutions for his clients through alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation, arbitration, and negotiation. Beyond litigation, Eric collaborates with his firm’s tax and administration departments to counsel and guide fiduciaries and beneficiaries on complex trust and estate administration, with a focus on avoiding disputes and litigation.

In his practice, Eric represents executors, trustees, beneficiaries, charities, financial institutions, and other stakeholders, in all aspects of Trust and Estate disputes, including in connection with:

  • Will contests
  • Claims of undue influence and lack of testamentary capacity
  • Will and trust construction actions
  • Judicial accounting actions
  • Creditors’ claims
  • Guardianship actions
  • Disputes concerning financial accounts, beneficiary designations, and life insurance policies
  • Disputes concerning powers of attorney
  • Matters involving all aspects of fiduciary duties and responsibilities

Recognized for his excellence and leadership in the Trust and Estate litigation field, Eric serves as a panelist and Co-Chair of the Essex County Early Settlement Panel for the Superior Court, Chancery Division, Probate Part, where he regularly volunteers his time and experience to oversee and facilitate the resolution of contested Trust and Estate disputes. He also shares his legal knowledge and insights as a presenter at continuing legal education seminars, covering various topics pertinent to Trust and Estate disputes. Additionally, Courts have appointed Eric to serve in various fiduciary roles in contested Trust and Estate cases, including as Guardian ad litem and court-appointed estate administrator.

Super Lawyers Magazine has consecutively named Eric a “Rising Star” in the field of Trust and Estate litigation from 2021 to 2023. Additionally, he was selected by the Supreme Court of the State of New Jersey to serve as a member of the District Ethics Committee for District VC.

Before joining the firm, Eric served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Hon. Walter Koprowski, Jr., P.J. Ch., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division, Probate and General Equity Parts, Essex Vicinage.
